Is this simply the weirdest true – car sex – story you have ever heard?<\/h2>\n

The 24-year-old was ‘completely oblivious’ to officers.<\/p>\n

A naked man was Tasered after he tried to have sex<\/a> with a car after drinking enough alcohol to mimic the effects of surgical anesthesia, police said.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old man was attempting to penetrate the exhaust pipe of a car in Newton, Kanas and had to be subdued with a stun gun when he refused to stop, officers alleged.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant Scott Powell said the man was taken to the hospital instead of jail because of a life-threateningly-high blood-alcohol level of 0.35 percent.<\/p>\n

He was thought to have a head injury and to have ingested drugs besides alcohol, Lt Powell said.<\/p>\n

He was \u201ccompletely oblivious to everyone standing around and telling him to stop\u201d, the officer added.<\/p>\n

Car sex:<\/h3>\n

Police submitted a report to city prosecutors recommending a misdemeanor charge of lewd and lascivious behaviour.<\/p>\n

Nothing had been filed by Thursday, the same day the man was due to be released from the hospital.<\/p>\n

Lt Powell told The Kansan<\/em>: \u201cHe was high on some sort of drug.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers were there, and he continued to try and have sex with the exhaust pipe of the car. He would not listen to commands or anything. Officers ended up Tasering him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was so impaired we could not take him to jail.\u201d<\/p>\n

A blood alcohol level of 0.35 percent can produce effects similar to those of surgical anesthesia, according to a health guide produced by the Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. \u201cYou may stop breathing,\u201d the guide says.<\/p>\n

Even at a lower concentration of 0.2 percent, the guide warns, \u201cyou need help to stand up or walk\u201d, while at 0.25 percent, \u201call mental, physical and sensory functions are severely impaired. You\u2019re emotionally numb\u201d.<\/p>\n

Death is likely at 0.4 percent or higher.<\/p>\n
